The house was significantly remodelled in 1928-29  by the local building firm Chuters at a cost of £2,224 for Mr E.W.Hunter. The architect was Palmer Jones. (The shed on the right housed the Francis turbine which was installed in a specially commissioned turbine pit to generate electricity)
